Watch: Fisk (TV Series)

Family feuds. Money squabbles. Wobbly furniture. A no-nonsense lawyer joins a low-rent wills and probate firm after her marriage and career implode. Another hilarious show from Australia.

It is always so strange and fun to find a program or music that is entirely new to you, only to discover that virtually everyone involved are stars in their own country. In this case, Australia.

So it is with Fisk, now showing on Netfix and ITVX. It looks like its star and co-creator, Kitty Flanagan, has been a standup comedian for a decade or more. She is the star, to be sure, but the ensemble cast (it turns out) are not only fantastic in this series, but have also worked at being hilarious for a long time.

I admit I love Australian TV, music and movies and the quick wit we see on Fisk is top-notch.

But be warned, you need to pay attention. Read one text message while watching, and you might miss four or five jokes. I am only half kidding.
