Is it Time to Give this Atrocity a Name?

We have once again, knowingly and willingly, walked into a horrid, deep, dark abyss.

The Battle is over, but the war goes on.

Israel said tonight (05 November 2023) that in the combined activities of its ground, air and naval forces in the Gaza Strip, “over 2,500 terror targets have been struck”.

It has also been reported that at least 9,770 Palestinians, including 4,008 children, have been killed in Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip. It was those 2500 missions that killed 9,770 people. And 4,008 children.

Now the sick will continue to die. There is not enough medicine or disinfectant or even beds.

Those who perished in the rubble will never be found.

And the mindless war against the unarmed will continue unabated. That is the only war that matters to them. The sickly need to be exterminated.

One could argue that the original plan -to eliminate as many as quickly as possible – has been put on hold. There is no rush. The West will remain obediently silent until given permission to ‘stand up’ for humanity.

The long-term MO is clear. Everything is premeditated and being carried out with full Western support. The sham ‘pause’ will be used to extract certain passport holders.

In the meantime, Israel will continue fighting two wars. One against an unseen enemy. The other against unarmed civilians. ‘Women and children are what Israel is targeting,’ said a survivor of an attack.

They can win the war against the innocents. Can they win the war against the armed fighters?

And where is That Other Conflict in the daily news? Nothing has changed there, but that story is of no value now. The Arms Market is winding down, replaced by the obscene profits of The New War. The USG Arms Merchants do not care about politics or policy.

But you see how it works? One moment, a story is constant, 24/7, front pages, standing with, by and for. And then… gone. New story, 24/7, standing with, by and for. Right side, wrong side, does not matter. Dead civilians? Sure. The price of war, The Arms Merchants say. The price of war.

And how will this story end? Well, it already has ended. The bloody stain on humanity is complete. It is too late to ask for forgiveness. The children and their mothers will continue to die. Nothing will bring them back.

We have once again, knowingly and willingly, walked into a horrid, deep, dark abyss.

Decades ago, we would have called this a Holocaust.

We are afraid to give in a name now. Once that happens, it will remain with us forever. A real and true Holocaust can not slip off the pages of history,
